Rufus and Ryan Go To Church Board Book Review and Giveaway

Rufus and Ryan Go To Church! is an adorable board book written by Kathleen Long Bostrom and Illustrated by Rebecca Thornburgh. This wonderful little story takes readers through a day of church-- the singing, the service, the prayers, and even snack time! Its purpose is to familiarize young children with what happens during church and encourage them to talk about it and feel a part of it.

Baby Z and I love this book and we read it every night. It's pretty accurate about what happens at our kid-friendly church. The only difference is instead of snacks and juice, we get milk and donuts so we talk about that. "Look! They get juice and cookies! What do we eat at church? We get donuts and milk!"  Rufus and Ryan Go To Church is the first book of this series that we've had the pleasure of owning. Right now, there is also Rufus and Ryan Say Their Prayers out as well. I can't wait to get a hold of that one to add to our night story/prayer time!

About the Rufus and Ryan

Basic Christian and church concepts serve as the foundation of the series, with an additional focus on character traits and development. The text is presented in young Ryan’s voice as he teaches Rufus about the concepts he is learning himself. Each story is about 150 words, using age-appropriate vocabulary and themes.
