Silver Dolphin Children's Books Review and Giveaway

Almost all of my favorite childhood memories revolve around reading and I hope that one day my children can say the same. In a world that is overtaken by videogames, computers, tablets, and TV, I hope my children will look back and think of how lucky they were to have a bookcase full of wonderful books. A company that shares my passion of children's books is Silver Dolphin Books. Silver Dolphin Books has a long history of publishing books that are loved by children and parents alike. They publish activity, novelty, and educational nonfiction books for preschoolers to 12-year-olds. We were lucky enough to receive two books from them: PLAY-DOH My First 100 Words and PLAY-DOH My First 100 Words: Animals.

These large, gorgeous books are not at all what I had expected. In fact, they are ten times better (and bigger) than I had expected! I didn't have them out of the box for 2 minutes before Baby Z took them from me. I have never seen her so excited to see new books. Before I knew it, she was sitting on the floor in a fit of giggles and smiles looking at all of the animals in PLAY-DOH My First 100 Words: Animals.

Good visual for size. Look how big it is! We love it!

When we read these books together, we sit side-by-side and open them across both of our laps, Baby Z points to a picture and I tell her the name of what she is pointing to. She just loves reading these books and we read them SEVERAL times a day. I just love knowing that she is learning as we look at these colorful and fun books together. It won't be long before she starts repeating the words after me and associating them with the correct pictures!

Here's a sneak peak of "PLAY-DOH My First 100 Words: Animals"

PLAY-DOH My First 100 Words: Animals and PLAY-DOH My First 100 Words are such great learning tools. Once Baby Z masters the names of animals, they will help us work on animal sounds, colors, shapes, sizes, and more! Its safe to say that my husband would love to sit down with her in a few years and try to recreate some of the animals using play-doh, how fun would that be?!

This is my favorite animal in the book. Cutest peacock ever!

As a family, we absolutely love these two great books! The quality of the books is great, they're sturdy and durable. I just love the bright and fun pictures but I really love knowing they'll help her learn her animals and words. We love both of these books so much that I am proud to include them in I'm No Domestic Goddess's 2013 Christmas Gift Guide! These would make really great Christmas gifts!!
