Anyone getting in the Christmas spirit yet? No? Just me? Well, I wanted to share this beautiful book with you as soon as I could so that whoever wins this giveaway would have enough time to enjoy it before Christmas actually gets here. So yeah, you're welcome, giveaway winner. Anyway, The Story of Christmas is an adorable padded board book that takes young readers (ages 0-3) through the miraculous story of Jesus's birth and shows them the true meaning of Christmas.
Baby Z and I absolutely adore this precious book and we read it together every night. I've never seen the birth of Christ so simply yet beautifully put before-- this book truly is perfect for young children to help them understand how Jesus came into this world as a baby. It takes readers through the angel Gabriel's visit to Mary, Mary and Joseph's trip to Bethlehem, and Jesus' birth. I could never have explained it as perfectly as this story did. One of my favorite lines to read is "Bethlehem was packed, and not one inn had space, so Mary and Joseph slept in the animals' place."
This little story is more than just a regular board book, it's padded with a carry-me handle that is perfect for little hands! The padded cover is a soft but durable and the “carry-me” handle makes it easy for kids to tote this book to bed, to church, in the car, and on-the-go. Baby Z loves carrying this book around with her everywhere and takes it to bed (yes, to bed) with her pretty much every night. I would highly recommend this book for anyone with younger kids!
