Halloween is coming up fast! Do you have your child's costume picked out? This was the first year that Z has been old enough to pick out her own costume so we went online to Wholesale Costume Club to see what they had. The selection was bigger than I had anticipated! After two hours (I wish I was joking) she decided she wanted to be a minion from Despicable Me! Since Despicable Me is one of her favorite movies, I cannot say I was too surprised by her choice in costume and I hadn't seen a girl minion costume before so I was excited about her unique choice!
The Despicable Me costume comes with black gloves, big goggles, a yellow headband, black socks, and a long sleeve yellow T-shirt with blue overalls attached. In the middle of the blue overalls is a "G" for your loyal boss Gru, of course! I actually was not expecting it to come with black socks and a yellow headband because they were not mentioned on the site so that was a pleasant surprise!
M's only complaints were that the goggles were uncomfortable after awhile and hard to see out of, and the gloves were too big for her (there was almost an inch of extra room in the finger tips). To fix the goggle problem, we figured out we could put the goggles across her forehead. Not quite as cute but still pretty dang cute! That way, they were more comfortable and she could see a lot better.
Overall, we love this Despicable Me costume and we recommend it for all of the minion lovers out there! It's made well, it's super adorable, and it's incredibly unique! So, if you're still looking for costumes, be sure to check out Wholesale Costume Club to fulfill your costume needs!!
