Galley Essentials Silicone Baking Cups Review

Its almost baking season! Its almost baking season! In the spirit of the upcoming Fall season (my favorite, by the way), I got the chance to review Galley Essentials Silicone Baking Cups! I'm gonna be completely honest with you, I absolutely love these baking cups and they are seriously so cool!

This was actually my first experience with silicone baking cups. With how much I bake, that's weird, right? I was kind of surprised at how thin they were when I first opened them up but it makes sense if you think about how thin paper baking cups are. Plus, because they are so thin and flexible, they are super easy to clean! Just flip them inside out and its easy to rinse any food right off, I haven't had to scrub them clean at all!

To be completely honest, I was really nervous to fill the cups up all the way because of how thin they are but I should've had more faith. These baking cups can really hold the batter well and they baked all of the cupcakes so evenly. I've never baked such perfect looking cupcakes before and I've baked A LOT of cupcakes in my life! I also wanted to test if cooking spray was necessary when baking so I sprayed some baking cups with cooking spray and I didn't spray others. We couldn't even tell apart which ones I sprayed and which ones I didn't because the cupcakes didn't stick to any of the baking cups!

As if these baking cups weren't awesome enough, I have used them for so much more than baking. I have used them in my daughter's lunch box to separate different foods, I've used them for toddler sorting games, and of course I've used them for ice cream! They would be so great to use for ice cream at parties: just separate the ice cream into the baking cups ahead of time and pull them out of the freezer when ready! How great would these be to use to separate gluten free baked items from regular baked items?! I'm telling you, these baking cups have been so useful in my house and I recommend them for all bakers and mothers! Plus, look how cute they look with ice cream in them!

Pros:
  • Eco-friendly and reusable
  • Made of flexible silicone so they peel away easily from cupcakes and muffins

  • They're really cute

Cons:
  • I wish there were more color choices! I hope the company expands the color selection soon because I plan on getting more!
