I was asked if I wanted to review a frother and I thought to myself "well, if I had a frother then I would have absolutely no excuse not to make a homemade PSL." One of the first jobs I ever had was working as a barista at Panera and I used to make Pumpkin Spice Lattes for myself all the time there. haha
Now, I know I'm a bit behind on my posting of a Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe considering its December and "pumpkin season" was months ago but the best part of homemade pumpkin spice lattes (besides the fact that it's healthier and cheaper) is that you can make yourself a pumpkin spice latte anytime any where, even in December.

I've been trying out several Pumpkin Spice Latte recipes over the last few weeks and this the best one I've found that doesn't use actual pumpkin. (I will post another in a few weeks that does use pumpkin too).
Ingredients
1 cup of milk
1 tsp of white sugar
1/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
1/8 tsp of vanilla extract
2 ounces of espresso (or extra strong coffee)
whipped topping
Directions
1. In a large coffee cup, mix the vanilla, sugar, espresso, and pumpkin pie spice.
1 tsp of white sugar
1/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
1/8 tsp of vanilla extract
2 ounces of espresso (or extra strong coffee)
whipped topping
Directions
1. In a large coffee cup, mix the vanilla, sugar, espresso, and pumpkin pie spice.
2. Heat the milk using the microwave or stove.
3. Froth the milk. (I use the Bru Joy Frother)
4. Add the frothed milk to the other ingredients and gently stir.
5. Top with whipped topping and maybe a dash of pumpkin pie spice or nutmeg.
I used the Bru Joy Frother for my homemade pumpkin spice latte and it turned out GREAT! This is such a great little frother. I've actually been searching for a milk frother for awhile now and I couldn't be happier than I am with this one. Its so quiet, runs on 2 AAA batteries (unfortunately, not included so make sure you have some), and it works wonderfully with just one simple button.
You can buy your own Bru Joy Frother on Amazon!
