NEW Veggietales Series on Netflix & Netflix Subscription Giveaway

On Nov. 26, VeggieTales, the most popular faith-based children’s entertainment brand, unveiled a brand-new Netflix original series for kids, VeggieTales In the House. The all-new series marks the first time in the 21-year history of VeggieTales that Bob, Larry and the veggie crew venture off the countertop for exciting new adventures, while remaining true to the values-driven storytelling that has long made VeggieTales such a beloved part of childhood.  The first five 22-minute episodes will be available for Netflix members in the US, Canada, Latin America, UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux and France to watch instantly.

In VeggieTales In the House, the veggies will take on a new, refreshed look as DreamWorks Animation puts its creative muscle behind the beloved faith-based brand.  VeggieTales creator Big Idea became part of DreamWorks in 2012 as part of the studio’s acquisition of Classic Media. Veggie Tales in the House provides a look at where the veggies live their everyday lives and is intended to compliment the DVD releases through a more traditional show. Each 22-minute episode of VeggieTales In the House has two separate 11-minute stories that impart important life lessons.

We absolutely love VeggieTales (I even watched it a lot growing up) so we were pretty excited to find that there was a new Netflix Original Series called VeggieTales In The House! It combines two of our favorite loves: Netflix and VeggieTales so how could it go wrong? To put it simply, it cant. Although, I absolutely LOVE all of the original movies, I may love this new series even more.

I will admit that it is a lot different than the traditional VeggieTales stuff but I actually love the whole new feel of the show. Its a lot more of a traditional kids show than a Bible study story, and I think a lot of kids will relate to the episodes really easily. I was really surprised by the new animation but its actually really cool-- the animation is really gorgeous and detailed.

Z was so memorized by VeggieTales In The House that she insisted that we watch 3 episodes before I finally was able to pull her away from the screen. Its only been available to watch for a few days and we've seen all 5 episodes at least twice already so I think it's safe to say that we're hooked. Her favorite (by far) is the first episode titled "Puppies & Guppies" because it talks about the responsibilities of having pets. In the episode, they have guppies (in case you couldn't figure that out from the title) and Z actually has guppies that we got to teach her responsibility. So needless to say, she really connected with that episode. It was pretty cool to see her relate the lessons learned in VeggieTales to things she is learning in real life! We cant wait to see what comes next for VeggieTales In The House!
