Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener Review

I hope you all had a great Christmas! I'm sure you're all getting ready for New Years and I have something so cool to show you that would be perfect to help you celebrate! My family has been impressed with every single Ozeri item that I have received but the Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener really blew our minds. I chose to receive the wine opener because my mom has become quite a wine snob over the last few years (she even brings her own wine to parties...) so I was really excited to see her try it out! I knew she would get good use out of it but I was still surprised by how much she loves it!

I left it at her house one day and the next time I talked to her, she kept repeating "you would think this would be pointless but it is SO COOL!" She even loved the bonus pourer and stopper that came with it. My mom has tried another electric wine opener and she said it doesn't even come close to the quality of the Ozeri one AND she said the other one didn't fit her wine bottles correctly but this one does!

I cannot believe how fast this wine opener works. It has auto activation which means it automatically activates to remove and eject corks when placed on a wine bottle. Pretty cool, huh??

In just three easy steps your bottle is open:
1. Use the enclosed foil cutter to remove the wine bottle seal.
2. Gently push down on the wine bottle to auto-activate cork removal.
3. Release pressure and the cork is automatically ejected from the opener.

It truly is just that simple! The wine opener does ALL the work for you!

The Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener Details:

  • Made of high quality stainless steel
  • Has auto activation
  • Built-in rechargeable battery
  • Can open up to 60 wine bottles on a single charge
  • Really Light
  • Cordless design
  • Opens a bottle of wine in just seconds with push button ease
  • Includes a compact foil cutter that doubles as a stand
  • Also includes a bonus pourer and stopper
Overall, my mom absolutely loves the Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener. The Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener would make such a great gift for the wine lover in your life! I just know my mom can't wait to show hers off at the next family function!

Don't wait now! The Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener is on sale right now for $28.95 on Amazon!

Snow Day Indoors! {Infant/Toddler Sensory Activity}

Today was the second day in a row we woke up to a winter wonderland outside! This is the first big snowfall of Baby Z's life and she is absolutely in awe of the snow. The only problem we have is that it hasn't stopped snowing long enough for us to go out and play in it (she doesn't like the snow blowing in her face and who could blame her?) soooo today I decided that if she couldn't go outside in the snow, I would bring the snow inside to her! I just brought out a vinyl tablecloth I got from the dollar store and some snow friendly toys and we were ready to go! Here's a couple pictures from our day

I highly recommend trying this sensory activity for your toddler or even your infant! We absolutely had a blast (while staying warm) and Baby Z learned so much about snow. We talked about what the snow felt like (cold, wet, etc), the color, how it melted in our hands, and so much more. This snowfall was just what I needed to brighten my mood.

What winter activities do you do when its too cold or snowy to go outside??

A Year Without You.

Well, the one year anniversary of my dad's death has come and gone (December 8th). I think I took it a lot harder than I thought I would and I'm going to be slowing down on blogging for the time being. I hope to come back in the New Year with more reviews and giveaways for you all to enjoy. I will also have some of my favorite winter recipes and activities as well. I appreciate you all for being so understanding about my situation. <3

"The most painful lesson is no matter how much it hurts, the world does not stop for your heartache. When you feel so desolate and lost, the world does not halt to see your pain. When the morning comes after another sleepless night, the commuters on your train will not grant you a smile nor will they be gentle. The world does not grieve for your loss. Although painful at the time, it is for the best-- the world does not allow us to give up. The world keeps spinning and our hearts keep beating." -Unknown

"The Promise: Birth of The Messiah" Children's DVD Review and Giveaway {CLOSED}

I have such an awesome review and giveaway for you today! I've been on the lookout for Christmas traditions that incorporate the birth of Christ so that each year we can celebrate the true meaning of Christmas and this DVD is truly what I have been looking for! "The Promise: Birth Of The Messiah" is a beautiful animated musical from Glorious Films. This is a movie you have to see for yourself to understand just how beautiful it is.

Homemade Laundry Detergent with Fels-Naptha!

I've been making my own laundry detergent for almost a year now and I will never go back to overpaying for store-bought laundry soap again. Have you seen my original Homemade Laundry Detergent Recipe? I've been wanting to use Fels-Naptha as a substitute for Ivory for awhile but I'm not big on "change" and sometimes I just need a little push. Well, Purex sent me a bar of Fels-Naptha to try out and that was apparently the push I needed! I love it so much that I don't plan on going back!

Fels-Naptha is a laundry bar that is made specifically to remove even the toughest stains. Purex Fels-Naptha has been a trusted stain remover for over 100 years! To fight tough stains, all you have to do is rub the stain with a wet bar of Purex Fels-Naptha and wait a couple minutes then wash it. Since Baby Z is the queen of stains, I was really excited to try this new and improved laundry detergent recipe!

Ingredients:
1 cup Borax
1 cup Washing Soda
1 grated bar of Fels-Naptha

Things you need:
1 cheese grater, blender, or food processor
1 container to store detergent in
1 large bowl

I start with the bar of Fels-Naptha. To grate it, you can use a cheese grater (that’s what I do) or just stick in a blender or food processor. The smaller the grated pieces, the easier they'll dissolve in the washer (although, I haven't had a problem with the cheese grater pieces).

Next, you mix the grated soap, washing soda, and borax all together (make sure it’s mixed really well!) and put it in a tightly-sealed container. I use an old Clorox wipe plastic container and its perfect.

You only need 1 or 2 tablespoons per load, how awesome is that?! Also, because it’s powder and not liquid, the shelf-life is really long. I have been really happy with this new recipe and I plan on using Fels-Naptha every time I make homemade laundry detergent!

You can connect with Purex on Facebook to keep up with the latest Purex promotions!

Have you ever tried Fels-Naptha before?

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free from Purex. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Girly Goats Handcrafted Goat's Milk Soap Review

I love things that are all natural-- including soaps! I've been trying to rid my life of harsh chemicals, toxins, and preservatives all the way from food to bathroom products. Its interesting how much people worry about what they put IN their bodies and not so much what they put ON their bodies. How natural is the soap you use? Do you know what all the ingredients even are? I love that the my new Girly Goats only has 6 ingredients (Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Goat's Milk, Palm Oil, Lye, and Fragrance) and I know what every single ingredient is!
