Z absolutely adores it and she gets compliments on it from everyone who enters her room. One of my favorite aspects is the timer option; after 60 minutes, the light turns off! So, Z can go to turn it on when she goes to bed and I don't have to worry about it staying on all night. The soothing light helps put her to sleep and it looks really, really cute while doing so!

3DLIGHTFX 3D Deco Lights are battery operated, cool to touch, cordless, and come with a crack sticker to make the 3D effect even more realistic! Your kids will love having these in their rooms and they're also the perfect additions to a den, family room, man's cave or office!

2016 Holiday Gift Guide: 3 Little Pigs Board Game by Tactic Games

Just in time for this holiday season, Tactic Games has introduced the 3 Little Pigs Game! Help the three little pigs on their adventures as they build their houses and hope to avoid the huffing and puffing, Big Bad Wolf, just like in the well-known fairytale. The 3 Little Pigs game combines skill and a dash of luck. Kids will love the soft and squeezable Big, Bad Wolf that actually huffs and puffs the pig's houses down!

This cute game impressed me more than I thought it would! The idea is to build your house the fastest by rolling the die on your turn. Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not! Obviously the most fun part for kids is if you roll the wolf, you get to try and blow an opponent's house down! The game is designed for 2-3 players and it's rated for ages 4 and up. Any younger than 4 and they probably won't be able to squeeze the wolf.

At first it was hard for Z to use to wolf (she's almost 5) but she got the hang of it and before we knew it, she was blowing our houses down! We must've played it 8 times that first night and we've played it at least once a day since then. Both my husband and I enjoy playing it with her and I could see how it could get competitive between adults too! It's easy to set up, simple to understand, and tons of fun for the whole family. If you're looking for a fun, affordable Christmas gift idea, I can't recommend this game enough!

2016 Holiday Gift Guide: Collage.com Fleece Photo Blanket GIVEAWAY

Collage.com is one of my favorite companies of all time and they've been my go-to place for personalized photo products for the last three years now. This was by far the most meaningful thing I ever created with them. It's a gorgeous Custom 50x60" Sherpa Fleece Photo Blanket covered with my favorite photos of my amazing Dad/Z's Papa (you can read my post about my Dad here).

It took me a week to finally decide what I wanted on the blanket and to sort through which photos I wanted to use and it was all worth it; when I received the blanket, it brought tears to my eyes. The ordering process was simple (as always with Collage,com) and the pictures came out clear (some more clear than others, depending on the quality of the photo itself) and overall, the blanket looks amazing.

Z absolutely adores this blanket as well and calls it "My Papa Blanket." I've been considering making a duplicate one for her (which can easily be done on Collage.com by logging in and reordering it) because I want to keep this blanket for myself and I know she's really going to stake a claim on it. Maybe we can share the blanket and both take comfort in the Daddy/Papa blanket together.

I've always been more than impressed with the quality of Collage.com products so I'm always super happy to work with them and this time was no exception. I cannot express enough how happy I am with this blanket; the fleece is heavier than I was expecting it to be and is surprisingly warm!

2015 Holiday Gift Guide: Capture Precious Memories This Holiday Season with PicturesOnGold.com

If you've been a reader of mine for awhile, you know that my beloved father passed away in 2012 of brain cancer. Well, he's been on my mind a lot lately because we are 2 weeks away from the 3rd anniversary of his death. I had considered getting a locket for my mother-in-law with pictures of her grandkids inside but I felt like it would become outdated in a few months when C is born. When I opened the box containing my new locket, I lost my breath for a moment. It's seriously so gorgeous and I would be lying if I said it didn't bring this pregnant mama to tears. I just couldn't get over the beauty of the jewelry and how the photos turned out so great; especially considering one is 25 years old!

I was able to completely customize the locket; front, inside, and even the back. The front is engraved with the words "Always in my Heart" and inside is a picture of my dad and I on one side, and Z with him on the other. The back is engraved with the words "Missing you always." 

Even though I adore my new locket, if there was one thing I could change, it would be that they automatically take the backgrounds out of the pictures BUT that's an easy fix. When you order, all you have to do is mention to them that you want to keep the background and they will do what you ask! You truly have complete control over how personalized you want your jewelry.

Overall, there are no words to describe how meaningful this precious locket is to me and I have absolutely no complaints. A personalized piece of jewelry like this would make the perfect Christmas, birthday, or anniversary gift. Unique Children's Gift Idea-- TheO Smartball Review & Giveaway

Using the TheO SmartBall is super easy-- you just download the kids learning apps you want by Physical Apps onto your phone and then you stick your phone securely inside the foam ball (there's a tutorial on their website to show you how) and start playing!

I was a little nervous about fitting my Moto X inside the ball because it was a REALLY tight fit and I didnt want to bend or break my phone in the process of it all but once I got the hang of it, it got easier and less nerve-wracking to place it in the ball. My biggest disappointment with the TheO SmartBall was I really wanted the bowling app but it was only available in the apple store, not google play. On top of that, some of their apps are kinda on the expensive side (they also offer 8 free ones).

With that being said, my almost 3 year old loves the free apps and she even plays them outside of the TheO SmartBall. Her favorite is called "Animals" and each time you shake the ball (or the phone) it shows you a new animal, tells you the name, and tells you the sound they make. When the phone is inside the ball, you really have to shake it to get it to work (that's the active part of the game) but its hard for Z to shake it that hard. When she uses the app outside of the ball, she has no problems getting it to work but when the phone is inside the ball, its a little harder for her to shake so we have her roll it instead.

Btw, its super hard to take pictures of this when your 3 year old wants to play with it... haha

I cant wait to see what other apps come out for the TheO SmartBall (hopefully bowling will come to the Google Play Store soon too) and if they change up the color scheme! The color it comes in would probably be my last choice and I think the TheO SmartBall would look so much more physically appealing in pink or green.

Overall, the TheO SmartBall is definitely a really unique toy and a great way to try and get your child to be more active. If you're looking for a different type of present for a Christmas or birthday present, this is a great idea. I do want to mention that the TheO SmartBall is NOT meant for bigger phones although I heard from someone that they are making a TheO SmartBall for bigger phones soon so be on the lookout for that!

Unique and Educational Gift Idea for Kids-- Animal Trackers Club Monthly Box Review

I have reviewed (and bought) several monthly subscriptions boxes for kids but truly none of them compare to this one. I'm seriously so excited to go on and on about the Animal Trackers Club Monthly to you guys. It is hands down the best subscription box I've ever seen. I was blessed enough to receive two months worth of boxes (the introduction box and one animal box) from Animal Trackers and that's all it took-- now I'm addicted!

When we received our first box, Z was instantly excited when she saw the stickers on the side of the box-- she just knew that fun stickers on the box meant the box was just for her. Z is on the younger side of the age range for this (she will be 3 in January) and this was still so much fun for her! I cannot believe how much stuff you get with this subscription each month.

When we opened the first box, we found an Animal Trackers Club Safari Lunchbox. This lunchbox can be used as a play station for the monthly animal magnets as well as storage for the animal play figures. Z promptly put all of the toys that were within reach into the the lunchbox. The introduction box also included an animal information card collection (these are SO awesome), “Safari Animal Tracks” ringed set (to start your collection), a pencil, and Z's favorite part; foam animal stickers! She sat there for half an hour playing with the different animal stickers.

The first monthly animal we received was a Zebra... how perfect is that? She knows her letters so she was excited to get an animal that started with a 'Z' like her name! Z didn't even know what a Zebra was before she received this box but now she can tell you tons of facts about them! She has not stopped talking about this box since she received it and now she's a fan of Zebras. I'm still shocked with how much came in this box: a play figure, information card, dress-up foam mask, magnet, photo track card, art activity, and a learning activity. Z absolutely loved all of it!

This would make such a unique and educational birthday or Christmas gift! I will asking my mother-in-law to buy the subscription for Z for Christmas so she can continue to receive it every month. I cannot wait to see what animal we receive next!

Reed & Barton Blown Glass Ornament Review & Giveaway

Looking for the perfect Christmas present? You can stop looking now because I have found it! Reed & Barton is known for their high quality products and the beautiful Checking It Twice Egg Ornament did not disappoint. My husband and I started a family tradition where we get Z a Christmas ornament of her very own every year. A lot of time (and money) goes into this special holiday tradition of ours as I search for the *perfect* ornament for her each year. This is seriously one of the most gorgeous ornaments I've ever owned and it's 4.5 inches tall! Pictures dont even do it justice, you really have to see it to believe it. I wanted to get out my Christmas tree and take pictures of it hanging but my husband rolled his eyes at me and told me I have to wait til Thanksgiving before hanging up the tree. Bah humbug! So be on the lookout for next week because I will be updating this post literally as soon as I have my tree up. That's how excited I am for this ornament-- I cant wait to show it off!

My Favorite Christmas Gift Idea-- Old Factory Candle Gift Set & Giveaway (CLOSED)

There are no words to express how excited I was to review an Old Factory Candle Gift Set because I am a HUGE fan of candles. I almost always have a candle burning in my house (only while I'm home of course, safety first, folks!). It will also come as no surprise to anyone who knows me that I chose their Fall Harvest themed set. Oh, how I love the scents of Fall!

A little bit about these candles: "The Old Factory Candle Gift Sets each contain 3 different scented candles. Each candle burns clean and even for 20 hours. Hand-poured in the USA with natural soy wax, self-trimming wicks, and premium fragrance oils. Each gift set is themed around a group of related fragrances. So everyone is sure to find something perfect for every occasion, every room in the house, and all the special someones in your life."

They have twelve different themed candle gift sets: Fall Harvest, Happy Holidays, Winter Wonderland, Romance, Fresh & Clean, Spa Day, Vacation, Coffee Shop, Man Cave, High as a Kite, New Born Baby, and 50 Shades. I chose the the Fall Harvest set includes the scents: Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry, and Autumn Leaves. 

These little candles pack quite a punch with fragrance; they smell amazing! They are smaller than I was expecting (even though it clearly says 2 oz.) but with a guarantee of 20 hours of wonderful fragrance-- that's actually longer than some big candles I've had lasted. I havent burned any of my candles for 20 hours yet so I cant vouch for how long they last but they do seem to be burning slowly so I'm hopeful! The only issue I have with these candles is that they are kinda pricey at $25 for the set and that price for 6 oz. of candles is a lot.

Pumpkin Spice is my absolute favorite fragrance so I was prepared to be really picky about it but it actually smell really good! I really had no idea what to expect with the Cranberry and Autumn Leaves candles (especially the Autumn Leaves one). The Cranberry one smells absolutely amazing, I was quite surprised by how much I liked it! The Autumn Leaves... its hard to describe the smell but I guess it's kind of what I expected out of Autumn Leaves scent, it almost smells like sandalwood to me. Pumpkin Spice was (of course) my favorite out of the three... ;) 

These candles would make such a great Christmas gift. Hint hint to anyone out there wondering what to get me for Christmas... This what I want this year! I really want to try the Winter Wonderland candles next. These would also make great housewarming or birthday gifts!
